In the Colline Metallifere (Metal Hills) of Tuscany, the landscape tells stories of rocks, minerals and clays. Of ancient and distant explorations that changed the course of history for Western ceramic manufacturers. And of brave experiments leading to raw materials that are capable of giving a new, eco-sustainable form to an eternal idea of beauty. The first leg of the journey pays homage to the Celine bathtub, to porcelain and White Tec.

Suspended between sea and sky since the 2nd century B.C., the marble quarries of Carrara are an incredible theatre of marble and a shrine to the civilisation of know-how. Here Devon&Devon selects the most precious marbles for its collections of surfaces, furniture, consoles and bathtubs. And crafts them in the knowledge that each block of marble is unique and unrepeatable, carrying traces of the memory of a unique territory with it into the most beautiful houses in the world.

The third and final leg of the journey takes us to the geothermal area of Larderello, where nature speaks to our senses in a strong and mysterious language, mixing embracing heat and gentle water with enveloping, healing steam. And it invites us to seek time for self-care, even in the intimacy of the bathroom, for relaxing, allowing ourselves to be lulled by the warmth of the water, surprisingly maintained at length by a sinuous cast iron shell.
